Perigon founder Paul Reid has over 20 years experience in designing and developing industry leading E&P products and solutions. Having led development and services teams at companies such as Core Laboratories and Landmark Graphics, in 2003 he established Perigon to provide data management systems and solutions that deliver the most effective and efficient use of wellbore data.
Paul is proud that Perigon is as esteemed for its people as for the solutions it delivers with a culture of integrity and delivering what is promised lying at the very heart of what Perigon stands for and believes in.
Educated at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, Paul holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Science and an MSc in Information Systems.
Chief Technology Officer
As Perigon's Chief Technology Officer, Stuart leads the company through all aspects of product management, design, development strategy and enablement. Stuart was Perigon's first employee, and since joining in 2004 has been influential in its growth and direction. His 'out of the box' thinking and passion for science and technology have been major drivers in helping Perigon succeed in its vision of integrating visualization with data management for client benefit.
Stuart holds a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from Aberdeen University.
Sales & Marketing Manager
Bruce Melvin has over 10 years’ experience within the oil & gas information management domain. During his 9 years at Perigon he has covered a variety of roles including Data Manager, Services Manager and Regional Account Manager. Now, as Perigon's Sales & Marketing Manager, Bruce oversees the management of our client accounts along with Sales, Marketing and Partner Relations.
Prior to joining Perigon, Bruce worked with ConocoPhillips as a Telecommunication Engineer.
Technical Sales Executive
Chris is the primary point of contact for our North American clients, and with over 10 years industry experience in a range of technical geoscience roles he is ably equipped to relate to the challenges faced by our end users in their day to day roles. Since joining Perigon in 2014, Chris has built on trusted relationships, encouraging feedback and input to ensure iPoint continues to develop in a way which best serves our clients’ needs.
Chris holds an MSc in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen.
Technical Services Manager
Arman brings more than 15 years of industry experience to his role as Technical Services Manager. His responsibilities include overseeing the day to day running of the development team, managing iPoint release cycles, software installations and updates. Since joining Perigon in early 2008 Arman has helped turn iPoint into a robust enterprise class application and drives its functional and technical design.
Arman graduated from the University of Westminster with an Honours degree in Computer Science.
Data Services Manager
In his role as Data Services Manager, Steve coordinates the efforts of the highly skilled Services Team. Drawing from his experience in data management consultation for clients around the globe he acts as project manager for all client services, ensuring their rapid delivery and fulfilment of requirements to the highest of standards. Steve also works closely with the Development Team to update, improve and add product features based on feedback from clients and his team.
Steve holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of St Andrews.
Test and Support Manager
Steve brings more than 14 years of experience in software testing and support to his role at Perigon. Leading the continued development and enhancement of test plans and support procedures, Steve ensures clients receive the highest quality of product and customer support. Among his many achievements prior to joining Perigon in 2013, Steve lists successfully creating and initiating a testing department at former employer, Tycom Limited.
Steve graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BSc (Honours) in Computing and is a member of the British Computer Society.
Software Process Manager
After joining Perigon in 2007 as a Software Tester, Phil brought that invaluable product knowledge and understanding with him to his next role covering our UK based first line support. In 2014, Phil moved to the Houston office where, as iPoints subject matter expert he continues to provide the highest quality support and assistance to iPoint users, whilst also working closely with the Development Team managing the client feature request process.
Phil graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BSc (Hons) in Computing.
Business Services Manager
Julie leads Perigon’s business support operations across a variety of services and is responsible for facilitating and coordinating all aspects of the company finances both in the UK and US in addition to all matters HR. Prior to joining Perigon in 2012, she worked for several major players in the financial services and retail industry, specializing in sales and customer service. Julie was previously a director for a logistics business.
